When I Am Gone
When I no longer roam the earth
and invade your precious air
Will you mourn for me, or laugh
and pretend that you don't care?
When we no longer hate, fight, and yell,
will you say that you miss me
or taunt me with "go to h***"?
Will you consider my death a blessing
that our vow is now complete,
or will you cry silently at the havoc
that you reaped?
Time is not a friend, and eternity is
so so long and it keeps score of
all your rights and wrongs.
So for now keep smiling and
nodding with your head,
for I know in your heart
that I am already dead.
